Sports Sales Promotion. The purpose of this assignment is to assess your knowledge of promotion and how organizations can use sales promotions to stimulate immediate product demand. As such, this assignment requires you to write a sports sales promotion project proposal for a sports organization of your choosing. Think of this project proposal as a sort of ‘sales pitch’ to management where you try to convince them of the benefits of this particular sales promotion – both in terms of immediate and longer-term product demand.
I have provided a general project proposal template preview of the document for you to use as a framework for completing this assignment. Please edit as you see fit. However, each of the sections in the template needs to be included within your project proposal, which includes:
Your sales promotion can be a price (e.g., discounts, coupons, etc.) or non-price promotion (e.g., special events, giveaway items, etc.) Try and target a real need/problem within the organization (e.g., low attendance at/participation in a particular sports service), which will increase the likelihood that this is not entirely a hypothetical assignment Make your promotion evidence-based (i.e., What consumer behavior research and data can you draw upon to connect what you want to achieve and who you want to target to the promotional activities themselves?)
