Initial Post

In this course on culture, we will learn much about each other as well as ourselves.  Start your post by telling the class a little bit about yourself.  What is your major course of study?

-What, from your perspective, is culture?

-What would you like for others to know about your culture?

-Does a person’s culture ever change?

-What would you like to get from this course?

Peer Feedback – Due by Day 7

Respond to at least two of your peers by Tuesday at midnight. Responses should be between 75-100 words and must contribute academically or further development of their topic. Good job, I agree, or I like your post does not meet this requirement. Responses to your peers who comment on your posts do not fulfill these requirements. Please post to a peer that no one else has responded to so that everyone may both give and receive peer feedback.

APA Formatting:

Remember to cite all outside sources that you use to avoid plagiarism. You may use your textbook as your main reference; however, you are encouraged to use other scholarly sources to enhance the quality of your paper. You can search the South College library for appropriate resources if you wish. References should be in APA format.

Discussion Content

Discussions play an integral role in monitoring your course participation throughout the term. You should check back to the weekly discussions multiple times throughout the week to engage in the discussion with your professor and peers. Participation is only counted during the week in which this discussion is assigned. Be sure to appropriately cite any sources you use to support your responses with standard APA citations. Answer the prompt question(s) thoroughly using a minimum of 150-200 words and respond to as many of your peers as possible – note that responses to 2 of your peers are required for full credit. Be sure to answer any additional questions asked by your professor in the discussion threads. Your initial post is due by Day 3 of the current week, and follow up posts to your peers are due on Day 7!
