MGMT 311 Week 7 Discussion: 50% OFF!
You see them everywhere! Short-term sales incentives are used to encourage the purchase of a product or service. Let’s see what creative, interesting, effective, or just simply off-the-wall sales promotions are observed in the market. Then, try your hand at B-to-B sales…and create a pitch to showcase your peer’s brand in an upcoming Super Bowl commercial.
Identify and post an image of a sales promotion in your local area or online. Assume the role of a brand manager and in your discussion post, describe the target audience (i.e., consumer promotion or business customer), promotional objective(s), and the promotional tool. Discuss whether or not the short-term sales offer “rises above” the promotional clutter?
Assume the role of a salesperson charged with selling commercial slots during the next Super Bowl to the brand manager. What is your role as the salesperson? What steps in the selling process might you take to close the deal on a media buy?
Review your peer’s posts and respond to at least two different sales promotions.
Engage and express critical thinking through your responses to promote an interactive learning experience. Each response should be in your own words, grammatically sound, and free of spelling errors.
Refer to the Discussion Guidance and Requirements when making your posts. Review the evaluation rubric for detailed grading criteria. (Links to an external site.)
