Renaissance Assignment 

In Ancient Greece, a mathematician proved that   2  can’t be written as a fraction; in our terms today, it’s a decimal that never ends and never repeats.  This means we don’t know it’s exact value.  What do you think happened to the mathematician for this discovery?
