Congratulations! You have been appointed the chief quality officer for your institution. Your primary role will be to undertake initiatives that increase the institution’s quality scores.

Research at least three peer-reviewed sources published within the last five years that discuss successful quality initiatives implemented in health care organizations similar to yours.

• What quality issues did the organizations face and how were they addressed?
• What are the similarities between your organization and those from your research?

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper that uses your research to address three to five quality improvement measures that your organization must implement. Include the following:

• A quality collaborative or Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) with which your institution is involved for quality measurement and performance
• The purpose of the quality collaborative or HCAHPS, the quality measures, and the tools used
• A general description of data that must be collected
• A comparison between these scores or benchmarks and the state and national averages

Provide in-text citations and references for all sources cited.

Format your paper, including reference page, according to APA guidelines.

• Week 3: You assess the steps in the process breakdown to identify and analyze the root cause of the quality issue you chose.

• Week 5: You create a detailed plan that explains the identification and onboarding of your hypothetical QI subcommittee team members.
• Week 6: You inform your team about the details and timelines of the proposed improvement plan.
• Week 7: You create an executive summary to educate the senior leadership on the overall implementation plan of your improvement plan.
