GNED 103 Week 7 Discussion: : Mathematician
For this discussion activity, choose a mathematician, then research his/her life and accomplishments. The Hunt Library Research Librarians have prepared a Subject Guide (Links to an external site.) to help you get started. Select one thing he/she is famous for that relates to at least one of the Learning Outcomes for this course (see the syllabus).
Write a news article/blog using the “who, what, where, why, and how” method that makes a connection between the mathematician’s accomplishment/publication and the necessary use of real numbers and arithmetic; polynomials and equations; or ratios, proportions, and percentages.
List the resources used at the end of your post using APA style. See the Hunt Library’s Research Guide on APA Style (Links to an external site.) for some help (and a link to EAGLET if you need some support).
Your initial post should be at least 200 words and submitted by the 4th day of this module. Then read your classmates’ posts and reply to at least two with observations that add to a conversation about the course topics and previous exposure to them. You must make your initial post before you can see the posts of your classmates.
