In the previous weeks of this course, we learned much about what it takes to be a critical thinker. This week, we investigate the most important uses of our critical thinking skills; solving problems and making decisions. Making good decisions requires good problem analysis that integrates the various elements of thought.  

How would you explain the “elements of thought” in your own words? How are they helpful in thinking, if one understands them and internalizes them? Give examples. Describe how you can use the elements of thought to analyze a particularly important decision you will need to make in the near future. Does this help clarify your thinking on the decision? Explain.
