CCMH 568 Week 3 Assignment: Leadership Demonstration
Local Campus Students:
This assignment will be presented in Weeks 3, 4, or 5, as assigned by your instructor. Each student will lead the class in an interactive demonstration of group leadership. Each demonstration should be 20 to 30 minutes in length and should include an interactive component.
Identify a leadership skill you would like to demonstrate.
Design a group session plan, according to a specific type of group. The group can be a task, work, or psychoeducational group.
Demonstrate group leadership skills through facilitation of your designed group session. Include the following in your demonstration:
Note: As a leader, you may be extremely active or less active. You may facilitate most of the talking, or have the class respond to the instructions or ideas you put forth. Be creative and use your unique talents and abilities.
Write a 175- to 350-word reflection identifying the qualities, skills, and styles you utilized as the group leader to aid in your facilitation. Describe how you developed and maintained appropriate boundaries and used self-disclosure appropriately.
Submit your presentation, group session plan, and reflection to the assignment.
